Unscheduled trip to Pune

I am a mosquito on a mission. Ever since I was born, I felt an overwhelming urge to annoy the living daylights out of humans. Our lifespan is short compared to humans, but we can still do our best. If they're sleeping, I sing the song of my people in their ears. When they flail their arms about, I take blood out of their neck. When they bring the bat, I sidestep it and bite them where possible anyway. The blood is awesome, but their frustration and utter anger is more fun to watch. It's weird that they hate us (mosquitos) so much and yet give us some many beautiful homes to have our families. I guess they're not that great at thinking ahead. I have to escape when they have the "repellent" but half the time it doesn't work and I laugh at their naivety before biting them some more. When they light agarbattis, I wait for it to subside before entering the house. I'm not stupid. So I was on my usual mission, but I'd found a new place.. a car. Usually, I pr...

Yuki 1

Life is good as a retired cat. I can enjoy stuff, eat food, drink water, run around and go crazy without any fear of anyone attacking me. My son tries, but pfft.. he's far from being my match. Of course, Kuro, the black cat is a real threat. He hates me, for one thing. (Incidentally the feeling is mutual). He is stronger. And he is like Lord Hanuman in that even he doesn't know how strong he is. Also, he is scared of the silliest things like humans lifting him, or humans in general. Doesn't he understand that humans are to be manipulated and made to do things for you? But the humans keep me away from him, so it's all good. If at a rare chance he and Shiro start fighting, I join in the fracas and punch whoever's face I see. It's a real stress reliever. But the humans didn't like that so Kuro is now kept away from us in another room. Looks like the humans are planning to move to a bigger place to accommodate all of us too. Well, let's see how things happe...

My New Home

I am Yuki. I am an older cat who's seen a lot of things. And I do mean, a LOT of things. I've fought off dogs, brought back my children from nasty humans, hunted, got food from all the offices of C block of the office complex where I lived. I even expressed my anger at having doors closed at my face by proceeding to shit at their walls. You'll have to open the door to clean that mess up, losers. My husband (the main one) was a white cat who was feared by everyone in that wing, even dogs. Humans would also step back from him and treat him with caution. He's a veteran battle cat who's gone through a lot. Ahem.. so anyway. I had a foot injury, and was treated by a moving ambulance by one of the kind human girls. But the situation got worse, so I went into the office of the one human who had constantly brought food for me for 3 years. She helped me get back my babies too. I figured that if I had to die, I'd rather die with her nearby. Or maybe she could help.  She ...

Establishing my Palace

I am starting this journal to show to the world how my life has been, since I have started living with the humans. I took over their house four years ago. I used to live at an office complex with mom and other friends. We had our own rules, and co-existed with dogs, pigeons and the humans. There was a female who used to bring milk for me and my mom everyday since we hung around near her "office".  Mom & I were never sure of the "office". It seemed to be a place of torture and repression. We were not allowed in there. The doors used to slam at our faces. Sometimes, they left out warm garbage bags for us to sleep us but shooed us away if we actually sat on it. My mom had rebelled against this "office" by once peeing on the door of one such "office". Strangely the other humans, including the female who fed me, immediately looked away and pretended she" had no idea this was happening. (It wasn't her office, but still, her running away s...
